Snow!!!!

Today was the day the boys (including Eric) were looking forward to!  Eric got out his ATV and pulled the kids around the snow filled yard on the sled.  Alex and Zach (Cameron and Cade's cousins) also came out to join the fun!

Preparing for Santa's Visit

The boys and I baked cookies in preparation for Santa's visit tomorrow night.  I think Cameron decorated the most cookies and I think Cade used the most sprinkles!!!  After we were finished with the decorating, Cameron wanted to set aside Santa's cookies so that they did not get eaten tomorrow! (I think he plans to eat a lot of cookies himself!)

Christmas Program

Today our church had a Christmas service and it was so exciting for this mommy to see my babies up on stage singing!  Cameron was a Wise Man and Cade was a shepherd.  All the children sang a few songs and they peformed wonderfully!

Merry Christmas to all!!!

Merry Christmas to All!

I wish each one of you and your family a very merry Christmas!  It is an easy time of year to be stressed out; we have our shopping lists, we are trying to coordinate Christmas gatherings, plus we have our daily responsibilities of our children and jobs.  But please stop, take a breath, and enjoy this season.  We truly are blessed and need to celebrate our Savior!

Tis the Season of Traditions

Last November and December I blogged about each of the traditions our family participates in during the Christmas season.  Well, it is time for the traditions to begin again.  Eric, Cameron, Cade, and I put up the tree and decorated it this weekend.  One other tradition that I realized I didn't blog about last year was placing the star on the top of the tree.  Placing the star and lighting the tree for the first time adds a little bit of extra joy to the experience.

Cade loves being a helper.

Eric adds the star!

Eric sets up the train for Cameron and Cade.

Family Fun Night

Cameron's school just had Family Fun Night.  Eric and I took the boys around to the different stations to play games, win prizes, explore a firetruck, and get balloon animals.

Family Fun

A common occurence at our house is wrestling on our bed.  Cameron, Cade, and Eric wrestle on our bed quite often.  The boys have even coined the term Ulna for this game.

Falling Fun

Each fall Eric enjoys piling the leaves up for Cameron and Cade to jump in.  The weather on Sunday provided a great day for this leafy fun.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween is a great time of year filled with fun activities and events.  Inside, the boys enjoy decorating their rooms with pumpkins, lights, and jack-o-lanterns.  They also enjoy eating their meals from Frankenstein plates.

Outside, the boys decorate their pumpkins.  Usually we carve pumpkins, however, this year the boys wanted to try something new.  They enjoyed creating just the right faces on their pumpkins from the many combinations of eyes, noses, mouths, etc.

Halloween is also marked with trick-or-treating.  The boys attend Boo Fest, which is trick-or-treating provided by the downtown merchants.  We always enjoy this event as it is an opportunity to see lots of friends and family dressed in their costumes.  Cameron and Cade attended Boo Fest this year with their cousins, Kelsey and Nathan.

Now, on Halloween night Eric and I were planning on taking the boys to a few family member's homes. When we were getting dressed Cameron started asking questions about whether it was going to be dark and scarey.  The good mom that I am (and trying to read into the loaded question) reassured Cameron that it was not going to be scarey and it would be light out so it would be safe.  Bam!  We then got hit with the reality that Cameron had Halloween and trick-or-treating pictured in his mind as a dark and scarey event, so he did not want to have anything to do with it since it was not as he had set in his mind.  That is Cameron!  So Cade and I went to a few of Mimi and Pop's neighbors while Cameron stayed at the house and handed out candy.  This ended up being a very fun-filled evening for Cameron and Cade.  They had a great time greeting all of the people and giving them candy!

Pumpkin Patch Paradise

Eric and I took the boys to the pumpkin patch today.  The weather was so perfect for this outdoor event.  Cameron and Cade had fun with all of the activities the pumpkin patch had to offer.  Even Eric and I got into the action.
