Arrr, Matey!

This has to just be the cutest little pirate I've set eyes on!

"You can't see me, the time is now."  John Cena, Cameron's favorite wrestler was his choice of costume this Halloween.  The actual night of Halloween he got a little self-conscious about not having a "real" costume thus the lack of a smile in the picture.

A Hamster? Really?

I never EVER thought I would say this, but......this hamster is really cute!

Let me introduce you to Emily.  This is Cade's class pet.  His clever teacher lets the kids apply to be in charge of Emily during school breaks.  Clever, huh?  Well, Cade filled out the application and got hired for the job over fall break.  In order to be hired for the job, each child (and parent) had to agree to feed Emily daily, keep her cage clean, and give her exercise daily.

So each evening when Emily became active we put her in her ball and let her roll around the house.  This is the part I really enjoyed.  I loved just watching her cruise across the floor!  I even let her stay up past the boys' bedtime to roll around because she really enjoyed her time out of the cage!  (I never touched her though because I witnessed her draw blood when we picked her up from the classroom.  She happily crawled in her ball so I had it made although I had thick gloves beside me just in case.)

I'm not sure I am ready for this household to own one of these critters, but having her for a couple of weeks was fun!

9!

Cameron turned 9!  If I looked back at the prior year's posts about my boys' birthdays I am sure I say the same thing each time.  I am having a hard time dealing with them turning another year older.  I know any mother feels my pain and there is no stopping time, so I just need to stop dwelling on it!  A good thing about each birthday is it is a good time to reflect back on the growth they have made and unique characteristics they have that make me love them with my whole heart.

I love you, Cameron!  Happy birthday!

Cameron celebrated his birthday first with his friends.  Let me tell you, bedtime with 5 boys was VERY interesting.  They had lots of giggles around the topics of bodily functions!  The things boys think are funny are just something this mom can't figure out!  We had a great time though with a great group of boys.

Cameron then celebrated with our family.  WWE wrestling permeates every aspect of Cameron's life right now so what better way to celebrate his birthday but with a WWE themed party!
