Well....we never even made it to the first day of school! The day before (which was my first day of school) we had our "normal" morning staff meeting, but by noon another meeting was announced and we were told school was being shut down by the Health Department. So we had two days to get virtual learning plans established and get devices handed out to students. On Thursday, the students started school virtually. We have 12 school days of virtual learning plans for now. Hopefully we will be able to return to school on August 24. We will see!
What I am thankful for is that my boys are high schoolers and can stay home and complete their virtual learning independently. Phew! And they are doing a great job at it!
Update: I was exposed to a staff member who tested positive for COVID so during our virtual learning stint, I was in quarantine from August 13- August 19.
