Hours of Play

These boys have gotten hours of play out of their WWE figures and ring.  I just love listening to my boys play!

Another Year Begins!

Boy summer break went fast!  No other nine weeks in the calendar year go as fast as those summer weeks! 

There are certain days in the year when I am consumed by the reality that my boys are growing up so fast.  Days like birthdays (obviously), Christmas, and the first day of school.  Today was no exception as we readied ourselves for the first day of a new year!

Cade is in first grade this year!  This is my baby, oh my I just can't quite believe it.  I know however, he will be in great hands with Mrs. Lunsford.  Not only do I admire Mrs. Lunsford because she is a phenomenal teacher, she also happens to be one of my best friends.

Cameron is in third grade this year.  This is a monumental year because he changed schools.  He is now attending the intermediate school.  Therefore, he is not at school each day with me and Cade.  So he has new routines to get use to, but he doesn't seem to be nervous about them like his mom!  He too will be in great hands with Mrs. Shidler!

Helping Hands

I know many people want their children far from the kitchen when cooking and baking is going on, but not me!  My little helpers make the job easier.  Today we baked a cake, made oreo cookie dessert, and whipped up a batch of no-bake cookies. 

As Cameron and Cade are adding ingredients and mixing I am able to put ingredients away, prepare for the next steps, and clean up our mess.  (I LOVE when I am done baking and the kitchen is clean!)

So thank you boys for helping mom today in the kitchen!  

Tricks

The performer of the family is definitely Cade.  He enjoyed creating tricks with his daddy in the pool this summer.

Nickel Plate

Cade LOVES to ride his bike so while Cameron was gone at church camp, Cade and I rode the Nickel Plate trail.  I really enjoyed this time alone with my little man!
