Church Camp

I am sending my little boy off to church camp for 3 days! *sniffle*  I have no doubt he is going to have a GREAT time, but it was a little hard to pack his bags, load him on the bus, and watch the bus drive away.

Update:  Cameron had a wonderful time!  Our Mill Creek family took such great care of my guy.  I asked him one big lesson he took away from camp and he said, "I am God's masterpiece."  Wow, what can I say?

His counselor left this note in his bag for him at the end of the camp.  Awww!

Movin' Up

Cade graduated today from his Pre K/Kindergarten class at church.  This is a monumental move for this age.  At this time they are presented their very own Bible in front of the congregation!  And starting next Sunday, Cade will join his brother in The Zone.  Soooo exciting!

Go Cards!!

It isn't summer break without taking in a MLB game!

Eric, the boys, and I took a trip to St. Louis this weekend to watch the Cardinals play.

St. Louis is such a great city and has soooo many fun family activities!  We weren't in town too long this trip, but we did take time for the zoo!

Prior to heading to Busch Stadium we had lunch on The Hill, an Italian neighborhood in St. Louis, to enjoy some yummy italian cuisine.

We then went to the world famous Ted Drewes for some frozen custard!!!  (We went before the game because after the games the crowds are so big they have officers directing traffic!)

And the game!  What. a. game!  The game was 0-0 until the 7th inning when the Cardinals scored 12 runs!  You read that right!  It was such an exciting inning!  Needless to say, the Cards won!

As soon as the boys walked into Busch Stadium, they were excited to visit Build-a-Bear (this looks like it might be becoming a yearly tradition for them).  They each had fun building a bear, but possibly the most exciting part of the trip into Build-a-Bear was our visit with Fred Bird!!!!

Tennis Stars

Summer tennis is about to come to an end.  Both boys have enjoyed tennis this summer, but Cameron seems to have really excelled at it.  Awesome job, boys!

Yes! Yes! Yes!

When two little boys love something as much as our boys love WWE wrestling, this mom does things she never thought she would do.

Go to a WWE wrestling event!

Yes, we just took Cameron and Cade on a little road trip to see some action!  Our boys were in heaven!  (And I will admit, but only to you, that I really did have a great time cheering on the boys' favorites and booing the bad guys...shhhh.)

Boys.
Boys!
BOYS!
A small window of opportunity exists if you want to talk to Cameron and Cade while they are in the pool.  Their heads are only above water long enough to get their next breath.  Maybe they're developing gills....

Boys Only

The fort is complete and ready for some action!

Cameron and Cade have enjoyed playing in their new fort.  On the first weekend Eric and I thought they were moving out of the house!  They kept making trips out to the fort with supplies...blankets, pillows, books, broom, water bottles, trash can!

They spent one evening watching a movie while cuddled in their blankets.

A True Blessing

An example of a little guy with a big heart!

Cade lost his first tooth yesterday.  He was sooooo excited to leave his tooth for the tooth fairy.  Would The Rock be visiting our house?  We discussed the possibility before he finally told his dad that was just a show.  He then preceded to conjure up ways to catch a glimpse of the tooth fairy.  In the end he decided he did not want to hurt the tooth fairy in any way.  So, he left his tooth under his pillow with great expectations of sneaking a peak when she arrived.

At 3:30 am Cade's little feet shuffled into our room and announced he had a dollar!  How exciting!  He said he heard the tooth fairy, but not until she was leaving.

On our way to church with his buck in hand, he announced he wanted to give it to the church because he could "help Mexico, help build our church, or somthing."  Aww, he gave away his tooth fairy money....steel my heart.
