Partners

Our family has a partnership with a missionary family and not long ago we sent them a care package full of the family's favorite US snacks.

And today, Cameron and Cade were blessed with a package delivered with typical Indian snacks.

Indepedence Day

We spend the Fourth of July with our great friends and neighbors, the Brady's.  We spent much of the time on the lake.  We enjoyed the sun during the day and...

the fireworks display at night!

And of course, the guys had to set off their own fireworks!  We also released these chinese lanterns into the sky.

¡Hola Mexico!

Eric planned an AMAZING trip for us this summer!  I had no idea where we were traveling, but knowing Eric I knew it would be special.  It is finally revealed that we are going to Mexico.  Okay, we have been there before so again, knowing Eric, I waited to find out what was different about this location.  Once we arrive in Mexico, I find out we are going to Playa Del Carman.  Okay, still waiting.  We arrive at Banyan Tree Mayakoba, a beautiful hotel.  And I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but I still keep waiting to find out its uniqueness.   All inclusive?  Nope.  So we are escorted to our room and NOW I KNOW!

This is our room!  I mean OUR room!  This entire area is our personal space for the week!   Behind us is the entrance of which you can go upstairs to an outdoor spa area with shower and massage beds.  The building to our right had a dining and lounge area.  The building to our left contained our bedroom and bathroom area including an outdoor shower.

See my visual tour of this place!

Both buildings open to this amazingness... (Is that even a word?) ...our own pool and hot tub!

Our entire space looks out onto the mangroves which is what this hotel is known for.

And if we wanted to venture away from all of this, we could bike to the hotel pool overlooking the ocean.

To no surprise, we spent most of our time in our own pool and hot tub.  But we did usually bike down to the beach for lunch.  Along the way, we ran into several different reptiles.

Eric had to retrieve the bikes on this day.  I wasn't getting any closer than this...and I am sure I was not actually this close!

Wow, what a week thanks to my wonderful husband!
